I started WW last summer at 176lb, which is WAY more than I need to be! I know for a fact that it will effect your joints and make old injuries flair up, I've also seen a lot of my friends go in to pregnancy slightly over weight and end up with hypertension and on bedrest. My goal is to get down to 135, which is a LOT of weight to lose, but it's where I ought to be and the size I was when I bought all the clothes in my closet that don't get worn because they don't. fit. It's also a good starting point for getting pregnant, because given my history with food, I'm going to be one of those pregnant girls that eats everything!
Today I got on the scale to find that I've officially lost 10 pounds!! I'm so excited, and I've read many times that if you can get the first 10 off, the rest will come along much easier. The weather will still suck for the next few weeks, but I'm hoping by March it will be good enough that I can go for a walk around the neighborhood each day, and that will help, too. I'm also hoping to not get injured like I did last summer-- talk about a setback!
More later, but that's my exciting news for the day, so it gets its own post!
