Time flies... even if you're not having fun!

I swear I'm not trying to neglect this poor blog over here, things have just been going a mile a minute in our lives and I don't know how to keep up with everything anymore!

Shortly after we hit up NC, we went to Memphis to see Jeremy's parents and homecoming-- I got to see some of my sisters I haven't seen in a while and sadly reinforced that some of my pledge sisters still hold my illness against me... But, the person who matters most in my swift exit from Rhodes (the girl who unexpectedly got saddled with my rush party) doesn't hold it against me and is still a friend, and that's all I really care about :)

I also got to see Charles and Krystal and the kids for a few minutes, even ran in to Alex and Jay (whom I haven't seen in 4-5 years) and ran in to some of the folks who were seniors and juniors my freshman year and really made my "Rhodes experience" PLUS I got to meet my great great great grand little!!

Andrea, on the left, with HER little Sam and her grand little Maggie! My Alpha family has grown so much and it makes me SO happy. Good job to my little Caroline for keeping up the love!

Since then, there has been more drama at work that I won't go in to, but suffice to say it's wearing me thin... we have an abundance of workers here today and I'm soooo tempted to skate out but I've left a few Fridays in October and I'll be out for two solid weeks in December so here I stay...

I've been trying to distract myself with my Pinterest blog and trying to put more of a concerted effort in to AEA and getting that off the ground and rolling since one of the other staff members here has been handing out my business card for me! I also coordinated my friends Della and Brent's wedding last weekend to great success, and I'm hoping they'll write a nice little testimonial type piece for me!

Since then, the weather has been fluctuating ever so much and so now I'm back in the fall cycle of trying not to get bronchitis! Which is awesome since I have four weeks until surgery and really can't afford to be sick at the moment...

Other than ALL of that, we're just preparing for Thanksgiving and a trip to Indiana-- we get the whole week off this year! We were really hoping that Ana would still be around to see, but we're not really worth much in the big scheme of things so they vamoosed a while ago. Oh, well, we'll just go up to Memphis and see Charles and Krystal and their kids, and pick up all the baby stuff they're giving us for whenever the heck that happens, and help Marc and Jan out a day or two before we head up to Indiana to see Josh and Sarah!

Then, we get back, and it's a week until surgery... yikes!

Well, that's all I have-- ciao for now!

I've been wrapping a up lot of AOII stuff and dealing with a major illness. Oh, right, I haven't told you about my whole tonsillectomy thing!

So, as most of us know, I've had tonsillitis since my would-be senior year of college! Awesome fun, let me tell you... anyways, in June my throat started hurting bad enough that I finally went to the doctor in  August to see what the deal is. After a couple of appointments, the PA decided that I've probably had the same infection since June and it isn't going away with antibiotics, so I'll have to go in for surgery.

Lately, I've gotten even more sick and more run down and I have to just make it to December and I'll be good-- unfortunately, they predict a 2 week recovery time and there's not an earlier date that I can shake off two weeks. We're supposed to go up to Indiana for Thanksgiving so I don't want to miss that since we're dying to see Josh and Sarah. We were hoping that Ana would still be there with the new niece and nephew, but it would appear they're hoping everyone will come to them this weekend so that's a no-go. Della's wedding is end of October, right after homecoming at Rhodes/an excuse to head to Memphis and see Marc and Jan, and we're not going to miss out on seeing Aunt Linda and Uncle Rube next weekend since we haven't seen them since the wedding!

Anyway, I'm trying to push my way through-- I've been through worse with less, so there's no reason I can't get through this!

Oh, well, I need to head to bed now, but there will be more updates soon! If you like any of my links above, please do me a favor and share them!

That, too

Friday I also managed to almost literally bang out a collection of blog posts-- the joys of scheduling on blogger!! I've tried to be really on top of things with the web content since that's all I really have going these days *sigh* One day someone will hire me for a party, any party, and I'll be good to go!

Doozy of a Week!

I realized last night that at the moment, I am essentially running three programs-- I'm wrapping up after school for the 2010-2011 school year, organizing/promoting/registering for summer 2011, and organizing/promoting/registering for after school 2011-2012! NO WONDER I'm exhausted!

Earlier this week was cold and icky, felt more like November than May, but we lucked out big time for our after school cookout last night! There was great turnout, everyone had fun, the weather was PERFECT, and we ate all the food there! Someone even brought a quinoa salad that was delicious!! It was great to see everyone having fun and as exhausting as it was, I really enjoyed myself. There are some amazing families there that really make my work worth it! I made ribs (which I'll have to do all the time now!) and now I have blisters on my hand from chopping them up to serve! Who knew?

I have to go in to work tomorrow, which really stinks, but we're leaving Thursday night for a long weekend in Memphis which will be soooooo nice. We'll have all of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and half of Monday there! Valerie and Ana are coming in, so we're really excited to see them-- we haven't seen Ana in over a year and can't wait to see how much she's grown!! Without a doubt, she will remember Jeremy-- she always does!

Finally, I'm published!! AOL owns a network of local news and opinion sites called Patch, and I'm officially a blogger for them! The editor loves my Agape posts so much, she wants me to edit them to fit a local market and post them up!

More later, gotta go get some SLEEP now!

Saturday...

According to a Christian media figure (who apparently predicted the same thing in '94), Judgement Day is Saturday! While I agree that the recent weather suggests things aren't right in the Universe, my tongue in cheek side went with an Apocalypse Party for tonight's Agape post!

Chilly!

It's really chilly here this week, like in the 50's which is crazy for May! In honor of that, I have an emergency solution up at Agape Events!
