Let it snow!

I know that we didn't get THAT much snow, but it was still fun! I remember when we used to get a decent blizzard every year, one that actually warranted a snow day! The snow we've had this year has been sadly short lived, but very pretty-- since it goes away so quickly, it never turns in to that mushy dirty slushy stuff. This was from the snow in February, just some pictures from around Mom's house.

I like picking a marker to show how much snow has fallen, and this candle holder developed in to that marker-- there are several more pictures later!
My collards peeking through the snow-- they loved it!

Where did it go?!
It got so heavy with snow, it toppled!

I LOVE Coastal Georgia!

We got to take a mini "vacation" to Tybee one weekend in February and Tybee Island happens to be one of my favorite places EVER! We went in 4th grade to the 4-H center and to see Fort Pulaski, so of course I dragged everyone (meaning, Jeremy, Nanadan, and Anu) to Ft. Pulaski! I remembered a lot and it hasn't changed a bit-- I even got to take a picture that's very similar to one I need to dig out from our trip. The one good thing? It didn't start pouring down rain until we left!!

There are LOADS of pictures from this trip, over 130! Good friends, great old house, decent weather (for February on the coast...), and a halfway decent dinner!

I just really love Coastal Georgia-- if it weren't for the weather, I'd definitely have a home there!

Explaining about the powder packets-- Anu informed us that it was actually what sparked a rebellion in India because the packs the British had were made of pork skin and the Indian militias (who did not eat pork) were forced to rip them open.

Notice the ear plugs-- totally not authentic!

The picture almost identical to my 4th grade one! Major difference? It's not pouring down freezing cold rain! Well, that and about 15 years...

Really awesome tree in the yard

The Crab Shack! Not too shabby, but our waitress was a big fat B.

We made a huuuge breakfast the morning before we left
