So much to say so much to say...
SO much has happened since the last time I updated! We had spirit week last week at camp and it was a blast-- MY TEAM WON! GO BLUE DRAGONS-- RAWR! The kids had a lot of fun and I think the counselors all did, too. We did have one really sore winner/loser who would goad people on when Red team won and ended up having a complete meltdown when Richard announced the Blue team won overall! For first place, we got to go see "Up!" at the movies, Chick'fil'a for lunch, and Dairy Queen for dessert! Red team stayed at camp and watched "Bedtime Stories", had Chick'fil'a for lunch, and did ice cream sundaes at camp.
Last weekend was supposed to be my house-hunting weekend, but Jonathan came in and we went to breakfast at Sweet Melissa's (yum!) and went shopping at Lenox with Sarah, and I found my tea ceremony tea at Teavana (macha, the traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony blend, is much different from your average green tea, and is whisked with a bamboo mixer in to boiling water) along with some very pretty tea sets. We went to go look at the house on Deerwood (right near the K's and Sarah) that I was excited about and met a really nice lady, Margaret, who was not only an AOII, but also the woman RENTING THE HOUSE! Thanks, landlord! Oh, well. The place was a little bit small, and I'm finding some much better stuff now, so it happened for a reason! Margaret's going to e-mail me to get involved with Gamma Sigma, which she didn't even know was here!
Sunday, Sarah and I met to look at an apartment in downtown Decatur in a courtyard building built in the 1920's. I am SO in love with it, but it sadly won't fit our needs :( For $1k/mo it's a steal in the area, and it's all vintage and even has the beautiful built in cabinetry! But, there's no covered parking and no storage unit for Jeremy's tools, so sadly I don't think we'll be able to do it. I did go and look at another place called The Conservatory at Druid Hills which is back on N. Druid Hills behind the mall that's $849/mo and has garage units to rent for $75/mo! The place was surprisingly big for a fairly new apartment and was really nice. The complex has a pool, tennis courts, weight rooms, all sorts of fun stuff, and they're guaranteeing the $839/mo for the next year! Yeehaw! There are still a couple more to look at, but right now that one's at the top of the list. It's close to all the highways Jeremy might could need to take to work, and it would take me about 10 minutes to get to work from there. Plus, it's gated and very private-- peace and quiet at last!
Richard had kind of been asking me to take on more responsibility slowly, and yesterday he told me that I'm the new Assistant Director of the camp!! It doesn't mean much pay-wise, but it does mean that I'll have a job in to the fall! Hooray!
That's about all, really. Tomorrow is Six Flags day, but I have little girls so it should be pretty easy :) Will update more as I have more, and I'll put up the pictures of the places I've looked at so far soon enough on Flickr.

Best wishes for Taty and Spencer...
My friend Tatiana got married this weekend and I'm so excited for her-- they left the next morning for Hawaii for their honeymoon, and that's where the bad news hits... Tatiana lost feeling in both her legs their first day there and has been in the hospital since! Whether you believe in it or not, send your good thoughts, happy vibes, and prayers for her quick recovery. Not only do we want her better because we love her, but it would be nice if she could enjoy her honeymoon!!

Insomnia strikes again!
Well, it's 5a (almost 6) and a multitude of things are keeping me awake. Appropriately enough, the only thing on TV that isn't infomercials or baseball is an old episode of MY personal high school favorite-- Angel! And, even more appropriately enough, Angel can't sleep. Not even during the day... (y'know, since he's a vampire and all) though I totally forgot how cute Charisma Carpenter is.
Anyway, not much to report really but since nobody's on, here I am! Work's been getting slowly better, made enough tonight to make tires feasible tomorrow, which is really awesome! I'll finally have my own transportation again! I think instead of dealing with the changing the tire and jumping the car, I might just get the darn thing towed up there and let Tires Plus charge up the battery for me. Then I can be off to cash my paycheck, and head out for my candlelight and dinner with the AOIIs!
Semi-formal was a lot of fun, more than I thought it would be. The girls were really great, very well behaved, even if their dates weren't for the most part. I ended up having to clean up someone's vomit off a table, but the president is going to be asking him to write me an apology for having to do that. Other than that, things went really well! Here are a few pictures:
Me and India (madam president)

Becky (another AAC member)
Katie (most recent president)
Me and
Natalie (whose office I can't remember right now!)
(let's see if that spacing works...)
I continue to love and adore all my new sisters, not that I'm terribly surprised, but it's always wonderful to have a group of friends wherever you go who love you so unconditionally!
I'm trying to think about what else has gone on since I last updated (pre-sickness, blech!), but there isn't really too much. This week should be exciting and busy, which will be really nice since I've been getting a little bit of cabin depression (I totally stop functioning without anything to do...) and poor Jeremy's had to listen to it all.
Tuesday: Tires on the car, INAUGURATION DAY!! HURRAY PRESIDENT OBAMA!
Wednesday: Moving and Work
Thursday: Moving and vodka tasting at work, dad and Emmy are coming, possibly lots of other people I haven't seen in entirely too long
Friday: Moving stuff day
Saturday: Dress fittings at David's (pictures to come, I promise!) and then spa afternoon with Emmy, Becky, mom, and possibly Vicki and BC.
Sunday: More moving! Whoo!
I'm excited about getting in to the new house and having my own room and breaking out my old furniture from when I was little. Since the desk is staying in Southaven until we know where we're moving, I'm going to get out my old dresser/vanity to use and my old chest of drawers (the set mom got smells really funky and makes my clothes smell bad...) and if I get particularly motivated this summer, I may even finally strip them down and re-paint them since we'll have a deck and it will take QUITE some time to get off a bajillion layers of 30 year old paint!
Well, that'll do it for now. Probably won't get to update with anything interesting until after the vodka tasting on Thursday-- and will definitely update this weekend with pictures from the dress fittings. I'm going to Morrow and dealing with this David's Bridal crap, I will be trying on several gowns, believe you me! I won't have enough money to buy one this weekend, so I may take my leftovers and split it between getting a webcam for me and one for Jeremy so we can get on Skype and talk to each other and the multiple peoples we know around the world including Valerie and Ana, and Megan in Chile!
Oh, and here's your daily dose of cute-- Feist on Sesame Street:

It's all coming together
Heard back from Jeremy tonight that Valerie, Matt, and Ana will be able to make a Dec. 19th wedding, so we're all set!! I'm so excited that everyone can make it :)
I've decided to do it in the afternoon, as mentioned before, and I talked to one of my AAC cohorts about it yesterday and she said that even though they weren't excited about her brother having an afternoon wedding, it ended up being really great. I've already shifted my planning, and I'm going to do wine and beer instead of liquor (which will be cheaper) and cheese plates, light snacks, and desserts since we'll be after lunch through midafternoon. I'm especially excited since you can buy cases of Sweetwater-- I can local-ize this like nobody's business! Also, Jill's (my boss) landlord said that the Solarium could easily hold 300, so I don't have to worry as much about the guest list. I mean, I'm not inviting anywhere near 300, but it means I can invite my GSig girls to come and some other people whose faces I'd like to see.
Now that we have the date, all I have to do is order the postcards for our save-the-dates and get them all printed and addressed, so they'll probably be out early February which works fine, I think. Weights lifted from my shoulders!
Nothing else really interesting, I was just excited to hear that and wanted to share :)
