Camp Kids
One of my fantabulous staff members thought it would be cool to point out the staff members in this picture who went to Camp as kids... since this picture was taken (this past weekend, in fact!) Priscilla and Jay had their beautiful baby boy Austin, a future Camp Kid and sure to follow in his dad's footsteps as a counselor one day! As the oldest, I was there pre-and-post-Kurt, and everyone else whose name has been put in bold has only ever known Camp with Kurt around. It's been... strange without him there to say the least. Not pictured are about four others who couldn't make it who are/were recently staff members and former Camp Kids.

King of Pops!
We have a great popsicle vendor in Atlanta called King of Pops-- they make fresh popsicles with all natural ingredients and they are AWESOME. Literally all natural, the most unnatural they get is Nilla Wafers in the banana pudding pops!
The guy was really awesome with the kids, he told them about how they make the pops, how they keep them cold in the cart, he was so patient with them!
C's aunt was the Camp director when I was a kid!
L, P, and one of their dads-- they are the sweetest family!
W, P, and their dad-- all of them loved the chocolate sea salt
T and P with a chocolate sea salt and a raspberry lime-- the raspberry lime and strawberry lemonade are only 45 calories each, they were a big hit with the parents!
M decided to try and double fist his and his mother's chocolate sea salts... it was pretty funny when he ended up with brain freeze!
Trevon and Claire -- youth group BFFs
TB with the very last chocolate sea salt-- he almost got mobbed!
J was sooooooo excited!
We ended the day with Brandy and Sarah getting yard sale loopy...
and turning Brandy's first yard sale bruise in to a butterfly tattoo!

Catch Up... I've lost count
I like to do something fun for everyone now and again-- that's the point of Camp, right?
Inflatable slide/obstacle course
Whee!
Later that night we had dinner and a movie with a popcorn stand...
And the W's fell asleep!

CU Pt. 7
What's up HALLOWEEN?! Yes, we are closer to Halloween '12 than we are to Halloween '11, but dangit I'm gonna post these pictures!
C and B-- a skeleton and GI Joe!
Katie as a Cavewoman
J1 as Captain America and J2 in the hand-me-down Buzz Lightyear
Stephen as Han Solo-- he was fairly convincing, and possibly more handsome than Harrison Ford. He had a lot of moms asking after him...

CU Pt. 6
At Christmas we also did a wrapping party so that the kids could wrap up some of the gifts they'd bought for mom and dad, or just some random presents that nobody had time to attend to. The kids had a blast, and while some of them needed help there were others with some impressive skillz!

CU Pt. 5
Talk about running behind... these are from Winter Break when we went ice skating with the kids-- I think this may have been the first field trip where the counselors had more fun than the kids! Afterwards, we went to pizza at Mellow Mushroom-- YUM!
Me and Octavia
B makes his way around the rink, slowly but surely

CU - Pt. 4
We had several birthday parties this spring; it's amazing to look at the kids in these pictures and see how much they've grown just in the span of a few months!

Catching Up -- Pt. 3
Our annual Easter Egg hunt (yes, yes I AM this far behind) was a success! C was SO excited about finding the golden bunny, even though she's allergic to chocolate... we made it up to her with some non-milked goodies and she was thrilled!
C with the golden bunny (it was well hidden and if you found it you got a prize pack)
J and I had to get pretty creative "hiding" over 500 eggs on one floor of the church!
M was preeeeeettty excited about the eggs she found!
M was all, "What do you MEAN you want a picture of me for my mom?!"
K found the golden bunny first... but L found it in the end.
F on his way down, he's a sweet kid and was just happy his mom hadn't picked him up earlier :)
The entire K group post-egg hunt
